“How we spend our days is of course how we spend our lives” (Annie Dillard)… How will you spend this day?
How I spend my day usually consists of waking up checking my phone and remember to pray to God first and foremost early in the morning. I’ve come to the conclusion that I’m not much of a morning person so I look forward to the afternoon. Noon is when I get my emails from my honey Marc also when I feel most energetic. If I have nothing to do at this point I begin to get ready for work. What I like about evening is the sun is at its highest. It feels warm and soothing on my back. This feeling helps me understand that I’m alive and mother nature wants to hold me another day. I dislike the night but I adore moon and star glowing in sky. The cold is sneaky. It finds joy in torchering me in un-tucked clothes. Around 10 I run out of energy getting ready to wind down. It has occured to me if this is the way I’m going to spend my life would be quite boring. It would be better if I had someone to share it with. 11am lights out as I await for 11:30 checking around the internet for something well, interesting. Taking the drugs I drink few minutes later reaching for my pillow. Hearing Jimmy Kimmel live while my eyes slowly search for sleep. This is how I will spend the rest of my life? Scary…How will you spend yours?
Sometimes I feel like I’ve already made big accomplishments in life, and that’s without the money, education, and fame. Its with happiness, that you can achieve great things.
